Basic Function of a Measure Technician (Template Technician)

The basic function of a Measure Technician, or Template Technician, is to gather precise measurements for custom countertops utilizing laser measuring equipment.

Salary Range For Measure Technician

25th Percentile

$37,440

New to the role, with little or no experience; requires more than casual instruction or supervision to perform day-to-day duties

50th Percentile

$49,920

Has the experience to consistently perform core responsibilities without direct supervision; very comfortable with processes and subject matter associated with the role

75th Percentile

$58,240

Value to the organization goes far beyond the ability to perform normal job duties; has rare qualifications that enable consistent contribution in unique ways; ready for next career level when available

Job Requirements

Education

  • Prefered:  High school diploma or equivalent

Licensing/Registration/Certification

  • Required: Valid Driver’s License

  • Preferred: None

Experience

  • Preferred: 2-4 Years prior experience in a similar environment

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

  • Ability to read a tape measure down to 1/64”

  • Experience using laser-measuring equipment

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Capable of working independently all day while gathering measurements

  • Professionalism when interacting with homeowners and clients on job sites

  • Gather accurate and precise digital measurements for custom countertops

  • Use the LT 2D3D, Raptor, LT 55, and/or other laser-measuring equipment

  • Convert and send measurements to the CAD department

  • Driving from site to site daily (must have valid driver’s license)
