Basic Function of a CNC Programmer

Multi Stone Enterprises INC is seeking a Water Jet Programmer to join our team in Savannah, GA. This person will be responsible for programming and managing the production of stone tops using Alpha Cam and Slabsmith software. The basic function of the CNC Programmer includes:

  • Using DXF templates for multi-axis CNC programming

  • Designing fixturing/tooling in CAD

  • Taking projects to the shop floor to set up, test, and finalize programs and/or tooling

  • Assisting in quoting new projects by analyzing models and developing estimates

  • Communicating with customers to understand their needs, manage projects, and handle any changes.

Salary Range For a CNC Programmer

25th Percentile

$41,600

New to the role, with little or no experience; requires more than casual instruction or supervision to perform day-to-day duties

50th Percentile

$49,920

Has the experience to consistently perform core responsibilities without direct supervision; very comfortable with processes and subject matter associated with the role

75th Percentile

$58,240

Value to the organization goes far beyond the ability to perform normal job duties; has rare qualifications that enable consistent contribution in unique ways; ready for next career level when available

Job Requirements

Multi Stone Enterprises INC is a family-owned, leading provider of Stone manufacturing. Our products are used in a variety of industries including commercial and residential properties. Education

  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent

Experience

Preferred:

  • CNC: 2 years

  • CNC programming: 2 years

  • CAM programming: 2 years

Required:

  • Alpha Cam and Slabsmith programming: 1 year

Must be able to work in a team environment as well as independently. Must be able to work on projects independently as well as in a team environment. Must be able to communicate effectively with others both inside and outside of the company. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining focus on tasks at hand.

Must have excellent time management skills, ability to multi-task, attention to detail, problem-solving skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team, ability to communicate effectively with others both inside and outside of the company, and must have excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office applications such as Word, outlook excel, etc…

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Multi axis CNC posting and programming from DXF Templates

  • CAD design of fixturing/tooling to integrate with programmed processes

  • Take projects to the shop floor to set-up, dry run and prove out developed programs and/or tooling. Lead the project through to customer approval

  • Support quoting of new projects with model interrogation, development and cycle time estimates

  • Interact with customers to determine requirements, manage projects, facilitate changes

System Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in manufacturing process development or engineering. Multi-axis CNC or waterjet programming experience (G code preferred)

  • Strong familiarity with Alphacam, Slabsmith, and etc.

  • Ability to read and interpret a blueprint and write and speak technically with an understanding of the stone industry

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment and can take developed programs to the shop floor

  • Must be self-motivated and driven to achieve goals, yet a strong and positive team player, able to motivate and work with cross-functional team members

  • Must be Proficient in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel

  • Must be a US citizen

  • Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Schedule

  • 8-hour shift

  • Monday to Friday

  • Overtime is available

Salary

Salary dependent on experience and qualifications. We offer paid time off. Bonus based on yearly performance are met.
